Yes, the slugs are horrible this year! We have put copper tape around the half barrels, and are doing slug patrol every day, checking out their favorite hangouts, like the worm bins and favorite plants. We drop them into a jar of soapy water, as one of the most humane ways to kill them – a jar of beer might be better. Not sure.

The only other creature it can be harmful to is worms, so it is important to use it minimally.
